About Salvatore (Sal) Cocuzza

Sal’s decade-long experience in real estate acquisition, stabilization, and management led him to establish Cato Capital Real Estate Group – a boutique real estate private equity firm engaged in joint venture and private equity in the multi-family space. Prior to founding Cato Capital Real Estate Group, Sal was an Investment Banking Director at DBD Partners Investment Bank and previously worked in Wealth Management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Sal has also been a business owner and entrepreneur. He owned and operated a number of businesses contracted with Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in the automotive, aircraft, construction, digital advertising, and luxury retail sectors. Sal graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Financial Economics.

Sal sits on the board of the Columbia University Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Columbia University Club of NYC, the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce, the Columbus Citizens Foundation, the Exit Planning Exchange, and the Association for Corporate Growth. Sal is an active member of the Freemasons of New York & New Jersey, where he was the former Junior Warden and sat as Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee. He is also an active member of the Classic Car Club of Manhattan and a true car and Formula One enthusiast.

In addition to his passion for cars, in his free time, Sal enjoys music and plays the piano, guitar, bass, and drums.
